Putting the last four of the eleven planks (each side) in place was very exciting. At last the Coble’s upswept stem and the elegant shape could be seen, especially after the moulds and formers were removed. – More cutting, shaping, scarphing, planing, steaming, nailing and roving and more hard work for the volunteers, then on to shaping and bending ribs.
But that’s not the end, not by a long way. Lots of internal fitting out is still to do.
